Although we saw security guards in several episodes, the Enterprise 1701
did not have an established security chief.
One of Valerie's more inspired creations was Security Chief Baillie, who tells these stories. Although a participant, Baillie is the quintessential
observer, describing and interpreting the actions and relationships of the main characters, allowing us to see them through objective eyes.
